Cefixime works by interfere with the cell wall synthesis by inhibiting the enzyme peptidoglycan transferase which prevents the cross-linking of peptidoglycan (NAM & NAG) and kills the bacteria.
Ofloxacin works by inhibiting the enzyme DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV of the bacteria which is similar to the human topoisomerase and thus prevents the super-coiling of DNA during replication or transcription.
